Public engagement activities are becoming increasingly important in academia. But how can you communicate complex academic research to family audiences? In this hands-on session, you will develop your communication skills in explaining science to children using props and visual imagery. This session will be led by Dr Gary Kerr, an experienced school’s science presenter and science communications researcher, who will be on hand to help you expect the unexpected when working with children.
