Virtual Doctoral School
The Research and Graduate College is currently collaborating with schools in the development of a Virtual Doctoral School.
The project supports PhD student within and beyond the University’s physical campus by extending its reach through a virtual research environment. The Virtual Doctoral School (VDS) uses networked technologies to support the learning process of PhD students, and the collaborative ventures of researchers across the University.
It provides a flexible space for the discussion and development of research ideas and projects, as well as for PhD supervision. Members are able to join and create their groups of interest and create their personal blogs. In the future it will also offer research training opportunities for students.
Salford PhD students and research staff wanting to join the Virtual Doctoral School can do by providing their details here.
